Chaz Powell is an Adventurer and Expedition Leader, who has over 13 years of remote travel and expedition experience.
After quitting his job in 2004, he then headed off on an 8 year backpacking stint, before heading back to the UK in 2012 to obtain his Mountain Leader Award and pursue a career as an Expedition Leader.
His journeys have taken him all over the world and include adventures such as - walking elephants through the jungles of Thailand and Burma, campervanning Australia's East coast, hitchiking across New Zealand and overlanding across Africa.
The more he has travelled the bigger his challenges have become and 2016 saw him take on adventures such as hitchiking/walking to the Northern most point of mainland Europe to film and admire the Northern lights, walking the length of the worlds steepest island (La Palma ), and walking over 2000km solo and unsupported along Africa's wildest river, the mighty Zambezi.
He is now taking on a project to walk all of Africa's great rivers from source to sea and is currently planning to begin a worlds first hike along the Blue Nile at the end of 2018.
During this project he is in battle against wildlife crime and is raising funds and awareness for wildlife conservation through the David Shepherd Wildlife foundation.
