Why we need your support The Lost World Project depends upon financial support and assistance from corporations, institutions and individuals as partners of Ibex Earth. Simply put, without this support we will not be able to complete the documentary, and raise the funds to further protection of Mount Roraima and the lost world. The key goals of this unique conservation effort are; - Raise funds to directly support local efforts to conserve Mount Roraima and the lost worlds of the Guiana Highlands of South America. - Dramatically raise awareness of the environmental uniqueness of Mount Roraima and the lost worlds of the Guiana Highlands, and the threats this special part of our world faces. The Lost World Project documentary is our primary tool for spreading these messages. - Secure international protection status for Mount Roraima – the mountain which inspired Arthur Conan Doyle’s ‘lost world’ - Put in place the infrastructure and training required for local communities to sustainably protect and safeguard the lost world for the long term Without action now, unregulated, unplanned tourism, and the introduction of foreign plant and animal species will jeopardise the lost world, and the incredible animals, plants and landscapes that have remained unchanged for more than thirty million years will struggle to survive. Ibex Earth aims to raise at least £750,000 for the implementation of these goals and to support the permanent protection of Mount Roraima. With your support we can stop these changes, minimise the threats, ensure tourism becomes well-managed, and give this incredible corner of the planet a secure and sustainable future.
