The College of Law is the UK’s longest-established specialist provider of legal education and training and has pioneered the establishment of pro bono clinics, with students undertaking legal advice work for free under the guidance of practitioners.

The College is committed to ensuring that our students gain a full understanding of law in practice and develop their legal skills through a vast variety of pro-bono projects. Our team assists Ibex Earth and a number of environmental charities and non profit organisations with legal services which enhance the work of these organisations. The pro-bono programme develops the students’ commitment to the environment by using their skills in the most practical way possible. The College provides leadership in ethical lawyering including creating a learning environment in which students can develop their own capacity to think and act responsibly on environmental issues.
